CAMEO Ministries began as a result of God speaking to the heart of Janet Chiefari, a victim of childhood sexual abuse. God placed the desire upon her heart to help guide others through the same journey of healing that she encountered. Eileen Kopsaftis was an answer to her prayer for God to provide someone to partner with her to begin ministering to women who have been abused. Together, they began the Choose Freedom Support Group in 1999.
